Happy Halloween 🎃

I love Halloween!!!
It’s Halloween once again and I love it for so many reasons. I love that once a year I can be anything I want! Dress up in a costume and be the super hero, a villain, an angel, a walking dead zombie.
It’s so fun and scary at the same time. It’s so awesome to see the kids dress up and trick or treat. It reminds me of a simpler time as a kid. Dressing up in a tight plastic costume and barely being able to see out of the mask because the cut out for the eyes were too small. The sacrifice was worth it at the end of the night. Dumping my pillowcase on the living room floor. It was like I struck “Candy Gold!” Oh the joys of Halloween as a young kid.
Now, I see the joy in being an adult and passing out candy on Halloween. I am a big kid. I dress up every year and yes, I eat the candy as well. I don’t want to get into why or why you shouldn’t celebrate Halloween. If you celebrate it’s cool, if you don’t cool. Life’s too short to argue about the technicalities of Halloween.
It’s a beautiful time of the year. Halloween starts the season of the holidays. Dia De Los Muertos as remember our loved ones that have passed away then we have Turkey Day and Christmas. Family celebration and togetherness through the end of the year.
So today, have fun. Dress up in a costume, decorate, place a jack-o’-lantern out this evening, watch a scary movie, take the kids out for trick or treating. What ever you do, have a happy and safe Halloween 🎃!.

You’re Someone Special

You’re Someone Special! It may sound like a cliche but it’s not used nearly enough! We hear it from others at times but we need to speak it to ourselves. Speak it out early in the morning. Start with your still inner voice everyday. Say it now, “I’m Someone Special” Too many of us let doubt and fear get the best of us. Yes, doubt, fear, negativity will continue to happen as long as we are human but when we build up the strength and believe in our worth it makes life’s issues easier to overcome.
